NEW CASTLE —
New Castle police arrested a New Castle resident after he allegedly was caught burglarizing a neighbor’s house.
Tyler Joseph Frank, 29, of 806 Neshannock Blvd., is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
A neighbor called New Castle police around 12:30 p.m. Monday and said he could see curtains moving inside a house near his and no one should be there.
He waited for the suspect to come out of the house and saw him exit with two garbage bags. When the man saw the witness, he dropped the bags at the back door and left.
The caller said he was following the suspect as he was walking away. When Frank saw the police cruiser, officers said, he ran through backyards toward Park Avenue, then gave himself up after police boxed him in.
Police said Frank had forced his way into the house. The bags he had dropped contained extension and other power cords, a spot light, beer cans, a heavy-duty battery and cable equipment.
Frank was arraigned by District Judge Melissa Amodie, who set his bond at $10,000.
