NEW CASTLE — One of four alleged prowlers reported on the city’s South Side early Saturday has been arrested.

New Castle police charged Justin Antwan Comedy, 22, of 51 Electric St. after catching him and allegedly finding a loaded gun in his possession.

Police received a call around 3 a.m. from a Lyndal Street-area resident about four men lurking outside a duplex.

Officers said they spotted four men hiding in an alley and as the car’s headlights were turned on them, they ran.

The officer chased Comedy through a front yard and tackled him as he tried to climb a fence, causing the gate to break open.

The officer searched him and found a .22-caliber handgun loaded with 10 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber, $697 and eight tablets containing oxycodone.

Comedy is charged with loitering and prowling, carrying a firearm without a license and two counts of prohibited acts, including possession.

He was arraigned by District Judge Melissa A. Amodie, who set his bond at $10,000.
