Police: Reports for Dec. 4

NEW CASTLE — NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP

•Retail theft. Police responded to a report of theft at Family Dollar, 1702 Wilmington Road at 6:15 p.m. Nov. 17 after receiving reports of suspects in the store taking items, including perfume and clothing items. On Thursday, police charged Michael Patrick Quear of 1311 Croton Ave., David J. Quear of 422 Galbreath St. and an unidentified female juvenile with retail theft.

•Accident. Police said Tyler Santiago, 20, of 399 Conestoga Trail, Pulaski, was northbound on Wilmington Road Thursday when he struck the rear of an auto driven by Jeffrey Simmons, 26, of Sharon. According to police, Simmons was slowing to make a turn into a business. There were no injuries but both vehicles had severe damage and had to be towed.

•Theft. A rifle, a gold bracelet and a power washer were stolen from a home on Pulaski Road between February and Saturday.

NEW CASTLE

•Accident. Tequita Rethea Brewer, 32, of 412 W. Grant St., was cited for driving without a license following an accident around 1:40 a.m. Thursday on Pearson Street. She told police she had backed into a flower bed in the 500 block, damaging it and her car.

•Criminal mischief. The driver’s side window was smashed out of a car parked in a carport in the 1000 block of Adams Street near Cascade Street between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

•Attempted theft. Someone punched in the driver’s side lock of a car parked near West Sharp and South Jefferson streets between 6 p.m. Nov. 27 and 11 a.m. Wednesday.

•Attempted theft. The driver’s side front window of a car was broken Wednesday while it was parked in the New Castle Transit Authority lot near Croton Avenue.

 •Theft. Someone stole a white Chevrolet dump truck from a loading dock behind the Cascade Galleria between Nov. 24 and Saturday. The owner said the truck had been locked and she has all the keys.

•Theft. Someone stole $211 from a purse and briefcase of employees at Lawrence County Eye Associates on North Mercer Street between Nov. 26 and Wednesday.

•Burglary. Someone broke into a house in the 500 block of Blaine Street around 6:30 p.m. Friday and stole a 32-inch flat screen television.

•Hit-and-run. Someone hit the driver’s side mirror of a car parked in a lot on North Jefferson Street between 8 and 10 p.m. Saturday and left.

•Theft. Various tools were stolen from Recycled Pallets, 911 Industrial St., around 11 a.m. Nov. 27.

•Theft. About 50 feet of copper pipe was stolen from a house in the 900 block of Adams Street between midnight Wednesday and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

•Burglary. A 52-inch flat screen television was stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Croton Avenue between Nov. 24 and 26.

•Burglary. Copper pipe was stolen from the basement of a house in the 200 block of Park Avenue around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
