Man critical following accident

NEW CASTLE — A New Castle man was injured when his pickup truck struck another truck on Route 224.

Robert Haught, 75, was listed in critical condition at Youngstown’s St. Elizabeth Health Center Thursday.

Mahoning Township police said Haught was westbound around 5:05 p.m. Wednesday when he apparently went into the eastbound lane and struck a truck driven by Jose Bonilla, 31, of Dallas.

Bonilla, who was eastbound in the truck owned by Dawson Geophysical Co. of Midland, Texas, was not injured, police said.
