•Burglary. A 12-gauge shotgun, nine boxes of ammunition, a television and two remotes, a digital camera, a cast iron griddle, loose change, three soft-point dart sets, an ammunition can with black powder accessories and a trail camera were taken from a house on Mud Bridge Road, Little Beaver Township. Police said someone broke into the home during the day on Thursday. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the state police at (724) 598-2211.
•Burglary. Someone broke into a home on Lafayette Street between Aug. 5 and 8, but nothing was reported missing.
•Burglary. Two televisions, a surround sound system, a laptop computer, an electronic game set with controllers, two gold rings, two television mounts, headphones and two Nintendo games were reported stolen from a home on East Terrace Avenue overnight Aug. 9 to Aug. 10. A window had been broken with a rock and the house was ransacked.
•Arson. Fire was set to a shed on the east side of the West Side Mini Mart on West Washington Street around 3 a.m. Aug. 11.
•Burglary. Two televisions were reported stolen from a home on West Balph Avenue during the night of Aug. 9.
•Burglary. Several tools and motorcycle parts were reported stolen from a garage in the 400 block of Laurel Boulevard on Aug. 9.
•Burglary. Two dirt bikes and a four-wheeler were reported stolen from a garage in the 600 block of Spruce Street Aug. 9 to Aug. 10.
•Accident. About 3 p.m. Thursday on Route 18 near Call’s Plaza. Miranda Dess, no address provided, told police her foot slipped from the brake of her pickup truck, causing it to hit the back of a vehicle driven by Morgan Lynch, no address provided, who was stopped at the traffic light in the northbound lane. Police said a third vehicle driven by Amy Dugan, no address given, also was hit in the accident. Her car sustained minor rear bumper damage. Police said Dess sustained minor injury. No other injuries were reported. Dess was cited.

•Keith Anderson, 53, of New Castle, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
•Wayne A. Jentgens II, 48, of New Castle, burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

•Miranda Lee Cornman, 26, of Brackenridge, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Five injured in school bus crash
Four students and a driver sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday morning. According to state police, a line of vehicles was westbound on snow-covered Route 108/Harlansburg Road at 7:50 a.m. when Shannon C. McAnney, 21, of Gibsonia, the second car in the line, lost control of her vehicle.
Ray Street man charged in burglary
An East Side man has been arrested in connection with a Scott Street burglary. Mark Anthony Magusiak Jr., 23, of 613 S. Ray St., was charged with burglary and attempted theft. He is in the Lawrence County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
New Castle man jailed in drug case
A New Castle man facing 11 drug-related charges is being held on $25,000 bond. The charges against Theodore Trent McHenry, 20, of 919 Beckford St. followed a raid at his home last week.
City man charged with making threats
A New Castle man is facing charges that he threatened to harm a woman. City police arrested John A. Adamo, 34, of 211 E. Leasure Ave. after he allegedly tried to kick in the door of another Leasure Avenue home and threatened a woman inside Wednesday evening.
Drunk driving suspect tied to double fatal
A man charged with drunk driving in New Wilmington was the driver in a 2009 double-fatality crash. New Wilmington police said they learned Austin J. Ewers, 20, has a record that includes homicide by vehicle after they arrested him in the borough Nov. 24.
Second body this week found at Moraine
The body of a New Castle man was found at Moraine State Park. Jake Weiland, assistant park manager, said someone who had been boating and fishing from a kayak on Lake Arthur saw something on the shore at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and contacted park officials.

Man jumps into Shenango River
New Castle police and fire departments were dispatched Wednesday morning after a man jumped into the Shenango River. Police were called at 11:35 a.m. and the fire department was notified about 10 minutes later.
