•Burglary. A 12-gauge shotgun, nine boxes of ammunition, a television and two remotes, a digital camera, a cast iron griddle, loose change, three soft-point dart sets, an ammunition can with black powder accessories and a trail camera were taken from a house on Mud Bridge Road, Little Beaver Township. Police said someone broke into the home during the day on Thursday. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the state police at (724) 598-2211.
•Burglary. Someone broke into a home on Lafayette Street between Aug. 5 and 8, but nothing was reported missing.
•Burglary. Two televisions, a surround sound system, a laptop computer, an electronic game set with controllers, two gold rings, two television mounts, headphones and two Nintendo games were reported stolen from a home on East Terrace Avenue overnight Aug. 9 to Aug. 10. A window had been broken with a rock and the house was ransacked.
•Arson. Fire was set to a shed on the east side of the West Side Mini Mart on West Washington Street around 3 a.m. Aug. 11.
•Burglary. Two televisions were reported stolen from a home on West Balph Avenue during the night of Aug. 9.
•Burglary. Several tools and motorcycle parts were reported stolen from a garage in the 400 block of Laurel Boulevard on Aug. 9.
•Burglary. Two dirt bikes and a four-wheeler were reported stolen from a garage in the 600 block of Spruce Street Aug. 9 to Aug. 10.
•Accident. About 3 p.m. Thursday on Route 18 near Call’s Plaza. Miranda Dess, no address provided, told police her foot slipped from the brake of her pickup truck, causing it to hit the back of a vehicle driven by Morgan Lynch, no address provided, who was stopped at the traffic light in the northbound lane. Police said a third vehicle driven by Amy Dugan, no address given, also was hit in the accident. Her car sustained minor rear bumper damage. Police said Dess sustained minor injury. No other injuries were reported. Dess was cited.

•James Edward Strayer, 35, of New Castle, four counts of intent to possess a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to deliver and one count each of use/possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, scattering rubbish, depositing waste on highway and driving without a license. •James Kevin Vukich, 50, of New Castle, use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Keith Anderson, 53, of New Castle, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
•Wayne A. Jentgens II, 48, of New Castle, burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

•Craig Antonio Morrow Jr., 30, of New Castle, charged by state police with two counts of simple assault and one count each of recklessly endangering another person, harassment, driving under the influence, driving without a license, failure to keep right, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and failure to use safety belt.

•Douglas A. Lample, 39, of Ellwood City, disorderly conduct.
•Dawn Catherine Dittmer, 40, of Ellwood City, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

•Miranda Lee Cornman, 26, of Brackenridge, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Woman accused of taking money
A West Middlesex woman is facing multiple theft charges for allegedly using someone else’s ATM card. The amount of money involved is nearly $1,100.
Couple accused of theft from baseball field firm
A Scott Township business involved in producing professional baseball field surfaces was the victim of an alleged employee theft. A husband and wife from Boardman, Ohio, are facing theft and related charges.
Car strikes Neshannock school bus
A New Castle woman will be cited for failing to stop in time to avoid striking a stopped school bus. Neshannock police said Mary Clause struck the Neshannock bus, which had stopped in the 1800 block of Pulaski Road about 4 p.m. Wednesday.
North Hill man faces stalking charges
A North Hill man is facing charges for allegedly stalking a neighbor who complained he has been watching her. New Castle police have charged Donald Dean Crews, 53, of 228 E. Fairmont Ave. with two counts each of stalking and harassment.
Man, 61, accused of raping girl
A Wayne Township man is lodged in the Lawrence County jail, accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. Steven Louis Haynes, 61, of 4626 Ellwood Road was charged by state police in an alleged incident that occurred in February or April of last year at his home.
Fire marshal probes cause of blaze
A city police fire marshal said he hasn’t ruled yet on a blaze that ravaged two Taylor Street houses. Chris Fabian, who was at the fire scene for the duration Monday morning, said the blaze that displaced three families started in the back of a yellow, two-story duplex at 602 Taylor St.
Man accused of making bomb threats
A Sheep Hill man is in the county jail after allegedly threatening to kill a woman with a pipe bomb. New Castle officers and three members of the Pittsburgh police bomb squad went to the tan and brick two-story house at 116 W. Balph Ave. Monday to look for Daniel William Wilson, 36, who lives there.
Home invasion suspect out of hospital, in jail
A man shot during an alleged home invasion has been released from the hospital and jailed. Richard Andrew Javens, 43, of 3063 McClelland Ave. was discharged from Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh Saturday and immediately taken into custody on a warrant.
City man to answer Wyoming drug charges first
A North Hill man arrested for allegedly having guns and drugs in his house is being extradited to Wyoming. After that, Michael Antonini IV, 21, will face multiple drug charges in Lawrence County, according to New Castle Police Chief Bobby Salem.
