NEW CASTLE —
A Volant man faces various charges following an incident Friday night.
Paul F. Baer, 61, was charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and harassment.
State police in Mercer County say Baer fired a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol in the direction of a man at a Wilmington Township, Mercer County, residence. He previously had fired two rounds near the victim’s vehicle and toward the victim, when confronted, police said.
Reports indicate the victim was on neighboring property milling lumber.
When requested to empty the pistol to discuss the situation, Baer fired the remaining three rounds into the ground nearby and walked away, according to reports.
The incident occurred about 6 p.m.
Baer is to be arranged before District Judge Lorinda I. Hinch.
