Couple wanted for alleged identity theft

NEW CASTLE — An East Side man and a North Hill woman are wanted for allegedly stealing and using a woman’s credit card.

Neshannock Township police have charged 37-year-old Jason Daugostine of 1512 Wooley Ave. and 34-year-old Lindsay Gagliordi in connection with the alleged identity theft case.

According to reports, a woman reported on Oct. 1 that she discovered three unauthorized charges on her bank card at Sheetz on Wilmington Road and one from Walmart in Union Township, all of which were made on Sept. 27 and totaled $409.86.

She said she believes she lost her bank card on Sept. 27.

Police reviewed the surveillance video from Sheetz that showed a white vehicle pulling up to a gasoline pump and a man and woman getting out and a woman using a credit car to purchase fuel. The woman also went inside to buy buy food and a gift card.

The police also talked to Walmart’s loss prevention personnel who viewed the store video and recognized Gagliordi and Daugostine from prior incidents. On the video, she saw them entering the store, and police said they were the same people who were at Sheetz. The store manager said Gagliordi no longer was allowed in the store and had paperwork regarding that.

Gagliordi and Daugostine were seen in the video entering Walmart around 10:40 a.m. Sept. 27 and making $293.08 worth of purchases on the allegedly stolen credit card.

The store’s loss prevention manager told police that Gagliordi returned to Walmart on Oct. 21 and exchanged the items she had bought with the credit card and received a gift card for $232.96

Daugostine and Gagliordi both are charged with four felony counts of identity theft and two misdemeanor counts each of theft, access device fraud and receiving stolen property and one count each of conspiracy to commit identity theft.

Gagliordi also is charged with two counts of defiant criminal trespass.

District Judge Scott McGrath has issued warrants for their arrests.
