Shenango woman dies in crash

NEW CASTLE — A Shenango Township woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 376 in Pulaski Township.

State police have identified her as 71-year-old Chong S. Wigley of 25 Quarry Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County deputy coroner Alfred DeCarbo.

According to police, Wigley was driving west in the right lane around 1:30 p.m. and struck the rear of a westbound Toyota Solara driven by Tilinda Rosales, 51, of Sharon.

Police said Wigley’s sport utility vehicle ran off the side of the road and rolled numerous times and stopped on its wheels on the highway.

Neither Rosales nor a passenger in Wigley’s Chevrolet Blazer, Jacqueline Wigley, 62, of 4287 Wampum Road were injured.

Police said all were wearing seatbelts.

Neshannock and Pulaski Township police and the Pulaski Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The road was closed to traffic from 1:30 until 4 p.m.

It’s been a unique week on the marriage front. Actress Jodie Foster married her longtime girlfriend, while a lesbian trio that wed last year, who bill themselves as a “throuple,” have announced they are expecting. What’s your take on alternative unions?

I’m against it. I believe in one man, one woman.
I’m OK with it. As long as they’re adults, they can marry whoever they want.
