NEW CASTLE —
A company near Ellwood City has received a $250,000 state grant.
Nalco was awarded the grant to install two rail spurs and acquire the equipment necessary for loading and unloading at its facility in Franklin Township, Beaver County, according to state Rep. Jaret Gibbons.
The grant was provided by the Pennsylvania Transportation Commission, he said.
The commission awarded $18.6 million to 24 freight-rail projects in the state, he noted. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation administers the grants through its Bureau of Rail Freight, Ports and Waterways.
