NEW CASTLE — GNC Community Federal Credit Union has broken ground on a new facility at 2907 Wilmington Road in Neshannock Township.

The new 4,800-square-foot building will offer state-of-the-art equipment, multiple teller stations and a coin machine. Exterior plans include 25 parking spaces and three drive-through lanes, including a designated ATM lane.

The Wilmington Road office is scheduled to open in March. The current South Jefferson Street location will remain open.

Dianna L. Cecchini, the credit union’s chief executive officer, members of the board of directors and credit union staff participated in the groundbreaking Sept. 10.

Other guests included Sandi Carangi from the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association, Gale and Geoff Measel from GEM Construction Co., and Bob Naugle, Dave Johnson and Bryan Tusick from Eckles Architect & Engineering Inc.

“We’re excited to expand our branch location to better serve our members and provide them with an additional location to enjoy all the financial services they’ve come to know and expect from GNC Community Federal Credit Union,” Cecchini said.

GNC is a member of the Shenango Valley Chapter of credit unions. It has been voted “Best of the Best” within credit unions for 14 consecutive years.
