NEW CASTLE —
A training seminar on how to deal with state transportation engineering and construction contracts is planned for this month.
The event, sponsored by the Northwest Commission and Lawrence County Economic Development Corp., will be 8:30 a.m. to noon March 28 at Butler County Community College at Lawrence Crossing on State Street.
Mark Corbin, director of Small Business Enterprise Supportive Services Center at Cheney University, will lead the program. He will offer instruction on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s engineering and construction management system and how companies can market their abilities to the state.
Other experts will be on hand as well.
There is no cost for the program, but participants must register. They can do so by visiting northwestpa.org/government-contracting, calling Robyn Young at (814) 677-4800, extension 130, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those attending are encouraged to take a laptop computer with a Wi-Fi connection.
