NEW CASTLE —
•Burglary. Someone broke into a home in the 200 block of East Lutton Street between 5 and 9 p.m. Saturday and stole an electronic game system and a television.
•Burglary. Someone entered a home in the 100 block of East Sheridan Avenue between midnight June 7 and 11:15 a.m. Saturday and stole nine feet of copper pipe, a water meter and several copper connecting pieces from the basement.
•Theft. A 2003 silver Mitsubishi Lancer was stolen from Triple S Auto at 320 Neal St. The business owner told police a man wanted to test drive the vehicle around 10 a.m. June 7 but did not return it.
•Property damage. Police said ruts were made in the grass and a fence was damaged around 9:30 p.m. June 7 on North Walnut Street when a driver of a yellow Hummer tried to escape police. Officers tried to pull him over but he took off at high speed. Police learned the Hummer had run through the yard of 216 N. Walnut St. and ran through a fence, then crashed in a yard at 220 N. Walnut St. Police said they found small amounts of suspected marijuana and crack cocaine in plain view inside the vehicle.
•Criminal mischief. A Bobcat and a trailer, both belonging to Columbia Gas Co., were spray-painted between 4 p.m. June 6 and June 7 on a field on South Wayne Street at South Cedar Street in Mahoningtown. Police said someone painted green and red dollar signs and other markings.
•Criminal mischief. Two windows were broken on two vehicles parked in an alley behind a business in the 1100 block of Moravia Street between 5 p.m. June 7 and Monday morning.
•Theft. Two laptop computers were stolen from a home in the 200 block of Bellview Avenue around 2:30 p.m. June 4.
•Assault. Police charged Robert Earl Tyler, 30, of 121 Gary Lane, Edinburg with assault after an alleged dispute at his home early Tuesday morning.
•Theft. Gasoline cans, a tool box and 800 feet of welder leads were taken from two construction trucks parked in a quarry off Trusel Road in Slippery Rock Township. The theft occurred Sunday or Monday.
•Driving under the influence arrest. Police arrested Brian Joseph Cinque, 28 of Bessemer after he allegedly was seen driving erratically after leaving a Mahoning Township bar early May 25. Cinque was taken into custody and taken to Jameson Hospital for a blood test.
•Accident. Police said Stacy A. Julian, 33, of New Castle, was eastbound on 1-376 in Pulaski Township at 4:15 p.m. June 6 when she lost control on the wet road. The car went off the road and struck a tree west of Heather Heights Road. No injuries were reported. Julian was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.

•Luke Richard Proya, 29, of New Galilee, charged by municipal animal control with pet confined within the premises of the owner violation.
Ellwood City police charged the following people:
•Luke E. Myers, 41, of Wampum, two counts of driving under the influence.
•Gerald Bruce Davidson, 51, of Ellwood City, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of careless driving.
•Mark A. Folino, 25, of Ellwood City, harassment.
•Dennis R. Byers, 61, of Ellwood City, harassment.
•Marlin Ostrom, 19, of Ellwood City, purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.
•Robert Earl Tyler, 30, of Ellwood City, charged by state police with simple assault and harassment.
New Castle police charged the following people:
•Leland Burnette, 16, of Detroit, Mich., possession of firearm prohibited, firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of a firearm with manufacturer number altered.
•Maurice Perkins Jr., 21, of New Castle, two counts each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and intent to possess a controlled substance and one count each of receiving stolen property and firearms not to be carried without a license.
•Misty B. McKim, 29, of Youngstown, Ohio, endangering the welfare of children, intent to possess a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
