NEW CASTLE —
The Neshannock Township supervisors approved a Department of Environmental Protection notice for sewage facilities at Millennium Park.
The notice is for the Lawrence County Economic Development Corp. for the Millennium Technology Park sewer extension.
At their meeting this week, the supervisors also:
•Agreed to join National Joint Powers Alliance, a municipal purchasing consortium, and to purchase rubber flooring for Hess Ice Rink from Becker Arena Products of Savage, Minn., for $17,792, through the alliance.
•Approved ice time rental agreements with three hockey programs at Hess Ice Rink.
•Transferred the lease with E-Z-Go Division of Textron Inc. for a golf cart for Walmo fields. The lease was transferred from the Neshannock Athletic Association to the township.
•Approved a sanitary sewer developer’s agreement with George and Carole Watters on Club Drive.
•Executed a developer’s agreement with Staph DeCarbo and Associates to install sidewalks and a retention facility at Highland Fields Development, located along Mercer Road near Maitland Lane.
•Approved a reverse subdivision for the Heidish property on Wilmington Road, to combine several lots on one parcel to allow a nursing home project to proceed.
•Delayed resurfacing the Pearson Park tennis courts to avoid interfering with Neshannock High School’s fall tennis season.
•Authorized supervisor chairman Ralph Sheen to oversee a project to landscape the municipal building.
•Agreed to prepare a list of streets to be resurfaced, patched and lined and advertise for bids to complete the work.
•Tabled a proposal to establish a township website.
