Jameson acquires imaging facility

NEW CASTLE — Jameson Health System has new a satellite imaging and diagnostic center in Neshannock Township.

The former College Fields MRI and Medical Imaging at 130 Enclave Drive was acquired by Jameson and is now known as JHS College Fields.

“This new addition to Jameson grants our region convenient access to the full complement of comprehensive medical imaging services, all under one roof,” said James Aubel, chief financial officer of Jameson Health System.

Doug Danko, chief executive officer, said that Jameson looked at the facility as “a key expansion of our diagnostic site locations,” adding that “we are pleased to bring the services of Dr. Terry Shaffer back to our health system, working in collaboration with our hospital-based radiologists.”

Jane Beight, director of diagnostic services, said that the College Fields acquisition would mean greater access for northern Lawrence County and southern Mercer County residents to “high quality imaging services digitally interconnected with the hospital.”

“We’re pleased to add this modern facility with close parking and flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends,” she went on.

Patients may walk in for general digital X-ray studies at JHS College Fields, and an appointment for all other services may be scheduled by calling Jameson Centralized Scheduling at (724) 656.4220.

JHS College Fields joins 10 diagnostic site locations throughout the region within Jameson Health System, including Jameson Hospital North Campus, Jameson Hospital South Campus, Jameson Lab & X-Ray, Jameson Mohawk Community Health Center, Jameson New Wilmington Community Health Center, Jameson Shenango Community Health Center, Jameson Diagnostic Center at Mayzon, Lawrence County MRI & Diagnostic Imaging Center, Jameson Center for Cardiac Health and JHS Care Specialists at Nesbitt Place.
