Veterans benefit assistance offered

NEW CASTLE — A representative of the American Legion will be in New Castle Thursday.

The department service officer will be at the office of state Rep. Chris Sainato, 20 S. Mercer St.

Between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the representative will answer questions regarding VA and state benefits.

No appointment is necessary, although proof of veteran’s status is required.
