Paul Sibeto Jr.

Paul Sibeto Jr., 75, of 1110 1/2 Williams St., died the morning of Dec. 29, 2009, in Akron, Ohio.

Born Aug. 31, 1934 in New Castle, he was a son of the late Paul and Rose (Piesto) Sibeto Sr. He married Janice (Peters) Sibeto on Aug. 20, 1966. She died on Jan. 21, 2003.

Paul was a retired drill press operator from the Mesta Machine company. He was a member of the Sons of Italy, the Unione Calabro Americana Society and of St. Vitus Church.

Survivors include a daughter Paula Lewis and husband Doug of Akron; three brothers Rocky Sibeto of California, Marco Sibeto of New Castle, James Sibeto of Poland, Ohio; a sister, Nancy Broll of Youngstown; and a granddaughter, Janna V. Lewis of Akron.

In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Sibeto; and two sisters, Phil Paris and Antoinette DeFiore.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow for St. Vitus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev. John Petrarulo will officiate.

Burial will be at Parkside Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the New Castle Area Veterans Honor Guard at the cemetery. Online condolences offered at www.decarbofuneralhome.com.
