Eugene J. Wrona, 65, of Old Route 18, Wampum, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 3, 2006, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 13, 1941, in Sewickley, a son of Stanley and Laura Petroski Wrona. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Beaver Falls. He was married to the former Peggie Ann Kirkwood. She survives. Mr. Wrona was formerly employed at J&L; Steel. He was an avid sports fan and loved the music of the 1950s and ’60s. Mr. Wrona was a member of St. Monica Church of Queen of Heaven Parish. In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Debbie Wrona of New Castle, and William “B.J.” and Adrienne Wrona of Wampum; a daughter, Susan Wrona, at home; two grandchildren, Sydney Wrona and Jay Michael Wrona; a brother, Richard Wrona of Ambridge; two nieces, Laura Wrona and Jennifer Bozza; and many friends. Memorial blessing services will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum. The Rev. James Reardon of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Erie will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
