Regina “Jean” S. Querriera

Regina “Jean” S. Querriera, 83, of North Vine Street died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Jameson Hospital.

She was born June 7, 1926, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Bucci Sylvester.

She marred William J. Querriera on June 21, 1947. He survives in New Castle.

Mrs. Querriera was a homemaker and a member of St. Vitus Church, the Christian Mothers and the Ladies Guild of St. Vitus.

She worked at the Johnson Bronze as a machine operator and enjoyed cooking and baking.

Mrs. Querriera will be sadly missed and will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia Miller and Rosemary and Gary Bonelli of New Castle; five sons and a daughter-in-law, William J. Querriera Jr., Joseph Querriera and Ronald Querriera and his fiancée Robin Chmura, all of New Castle, Richard and Barb Querriera of Cranberry Township and David Querriera of New Castle; and nine grandchildren, Jennifer Miller, Ryan Miller, Chris Querriera, Randy Querriera, Monica Querriera, Adrianna Bonelli, Gabriella Bonelli, Austin Querriera and Maria Querriera.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Augustine, Ernest, John and Guido Sylvester.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Vitus Church. The Rev. John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
