Helen Sheldone, 94, of Edison Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Delaware Avenue, died the morning of Dec. 23, 2007, in Jameson Hospital.

Born April 10, 1913, in Formia, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Valeria Bonelli.

She was married for 45 years to Anthony Sheldone. He died in 1991.

Mrs. Sheldone was a seamstress at the National Pants Factory in New Castle.

She was a member of St. Vitus Church.

She loved to cook and bake.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Baker of New Castle and Genevieve Lewis of Chalk Hill, Pa.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Bonelli and Frank Bonelli; and two sisters, Mildred Cranston and Eolondi “Patti” Richards.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Mill St.

A blessing service will be at noon tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery, where there will be a committal service.
