James G. Poulos

James G. Poulos, a retiree of Hoffman LaRoche, died Nov. 21, 2007, from cardiac arrest at his home in Lyndhurst, N.J. He was 70.
Mr. Poulos was born in Ellwood City and received a master’s degree in business administration from New York University in 1978.
He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City.
James enjoyed his summers playing tennis, swimming and boating in Westhampton Beach, N.Y., where he owned a home. An avid skier, he never missed going to Vermont during the ski season.
James had a strong interest in art, establishing a collection as well as going to museums and art shows across the country and in Europe.
His mother, Eugenia Poulos, and his brother, Pete Poulos of Woodbridge, Va., survive him. He is also survived by an aunt and cousins in the Chicago area; and aunts, an uncle and numerous cousins in Greece.
Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, New Castle. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Ellwood City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 315 Englewood Ave., New Castle 16105.
