Shirley Ferrari, 76, of 1006 Service St., died Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 2007, at her home.
She was born Sept. 5, 1931, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Charles and Philomena General Santillo.
She was married to Rick Ferrari Sr., who died on Dec. 12, 1990.
Mrs. Ferrari was a cashier at Joseph’s Supermarket, retiring after 35 years.
She was a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Church and a former member of the Eagles Club.
Mrs. Ferrari enjoyed dancing and yard work.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Ferrari Jr. and Chucky Ferrari, both of New Castle; one stepdaughter, Denise Molinaro of New Castle; three sisters, Mary Lou Smiley of New Castle, Patricia Santillo of Hacienda Heights, N.M., and Lucille Santillo of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; and one stepgrandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Tina Esposito and Margaret Lelenko.
Visitation will be at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. The Rev. Robert Schweitzer of St. Joseph the Worker Church will be officiating.
A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
