Robert E. Wise Sr., 70, of East Washington Street, died the afternoon of Nov. 20, 2007, in Edison Manor Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 3, 1937, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Anderson J. Sr. and Dorothy N. Campbell Wise.

Mr. Wise was a former employee of the city of New Castle’s public works department.

Survivors include four daughters, Rochelle McClinton, Robin Wise and Darlene Lawson, all of New Castle, and Kyonna Wise of Youngstown; eight sons, Richard Wise of Farrell, Robert Wise Jr., Reginald Wise, Ronald Wise, Rodney Wise, Anthony Wise and T.J. Stewart, all of New Castle, and Robert Wise III of Youngstown; four brothers, Anderson Wise Jr. and George Wise, both of New Castle, Cornelius Wise of Alliance, Ohio, and Lorenzo Wise of Youngstown; and five sisters, Joy Waters of Maryland, Shirley Samuels, Geraldine Love and Beverly Wise, all of New Castle, and Thomasena Howell of Alliance, Ohio.

Mr. Wise also is survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Rachael Wise and Renee Wise; six grandchildren; one sister, Lorali Wise; and two brothers, Cleveland Wise and Charles Wise.

Visitation is noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Elder Glen D. Samuels of the Jubilee Ministries International and Mr. Wise’s brother-in-law will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
