Ralph Clifford Wimer

Ralph Clifford Wimer, 55, of Rhoer Road, Slippery Rock, died the night of Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 2, 1952, in Grove City, he was a son of the late Charles DeWitt and Sylvia Campbell Wimer.
He married Debra K.G. Wimer on Oct. 16, 1994. She survives.
Mr. Wimer was general laborer with Local 373 of Pittsburgh.
A Marine Corps veteran, he served as a staff sergeant during the Vietnam War and was wounded.
He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing, and he collected wood carvings of ducks and elephants.
He was a member of West Liberty United Methodist Church in Slippery Rock.
Survivors include two daughters, Ada Ottinger and her husband, Billy, of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Jamie Wimer of Largo, Fla.; a brother, Charles Wimer and his wife, Nancy, of West Liberty, Pa.; a sister, Nora Wimer and her husband, Skip, of Slippery Rock; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ada, and a nephew.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Dec. 1, at West Liberty United Methodist Church, 135 Church Road, Slippery Rock, with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler Public Library or the American Cancer Society.
