Madeline Rose Richardson, 84, formerly of North Jefferson Street, died the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, in Golden Hill Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 25, 1923, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Floyd and Ida Palone DeGilio.

She was married to Lee A. Richardson. He died April 11, 2006.

Mrs. Richardson worked in the marketing department of the former Strouss-Hirshberg Co. for 10 years. She also worked at J.C. Penney for six years.

Survivors include a brother, Tony DeGilio of New Castle; a sister, Genevieve Gallagher of New Castle; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John DeGilio, Arthur DeGilio and an infant brother; and four sisters, Carmela Chiafullo, Angeline DeLorenzo, Lucretia Vaughn and Eleanor DeGilio.

Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.

A blessing service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Zajdel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
