Nancy I. Duncan Rae, 74, of Elyria, Ohio, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio, following a long illness.

Mrs. Rae was born on April 4, 1933, in New Castle and had made her home in Elyria since 1971.

She is survived by one daughter and a son-in-law, Roxanne and David Hayes of Elyria, with whom she made her home; three grandchildren, Matthew B. Hayes and his wife, Julle, Halena Schuster and her husband, Craig, and Paul D. Hayes, all of Elyria; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Rae is also survived by three sisters, Ruth Burrows, Mildred Booher and Mary Ellen Koelliker; three brothers, Joe, James and Thomas Duncan, all of Pennsylvania; and a stepbrother, Doyle Book of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal D. Rae in 1985; and one son, Hal D. Rae Jr. in 1975.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Elizabeth Krall, pastor of Avon United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
