Doris Mae Morgan, 78, of 157 Shannon Drive died the afternoon of Nov. 20, 2007, in Jameson Hospital.

Born May 14, 1929, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Mary E. Riney Murphy.

She was first married to Charles J. Vigne of Escondido, Calif., and then to Ralph V. Dufford, who preceded her in death.

She subsequently married Richard H. Morgan on June 19, 1989. He died Oct. 6, 2005.

Mrs. Morgan was self-employed as a cosmetologist and was a licensed practical nurse at the Overlook Medical Clinic in New Wilmington.

She graduated from New Castle High School and New Castle Beauty Academy.

Mrs. Morgan enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Sparklers Club. She was a former member and deacon of Third Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Sue Vigne of New Castle; a son, Martin E. Vigne of New Castle; and a sister, Donna Grist of Harrisonburg, Va.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne St. Clair and Marilyn Lawrence; and three sons, Charles J. Vigne Jr., David Lee Vigne and John R. Vigne.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Yergan will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
