Edinburg resident Barbara J. Mercer, 58, of Matthews Road died the morning of Nov. 18, 2007, in Jameson Hospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1948, in Portersville, she was a daughter of the late Grant U. and Eloyse Lewis Jones.

She married David R. Mercer on Sept. 17, 1986. He survives.

Mrs. Mercer was Protestant.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert Jones and Donald Jones, both of Lisbon, Ohio, and three sisters, Sarah Jones and Peggy Jones, both of Lisbon, and Della Sowers of Edinburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Todd, and a brother, William Jones.

Calling hours are noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. Dennis L. Bupp, Jameson Hospital chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Portersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
