Marsha M. Pistachio, 53, of Duquesne Street, died the afternoon of Nov. 15, 2007, in Jameson Hospital.
Born June 12, 1954, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Harold Eugene and Bertha Walters Brown.
She married Kenneth Pistachio on Sept. 2, 1989. He survives.
Mrs. Pistachio was a member of the New Castle Church of God. She loved her church and enjoyed making arts and crafts and giving them to others.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Belinda Pistachio, at home, and Toni Mae Savage and her husband, Ed, in Ohio; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Shawn Brown and Charles and Megan Brown, all of New Castle; eight sisters and three brothers-in-law, Darlene and Dennis Crothers, Joan Christy, Willie Medved and Sue Ellen Brown all of New Castle, Colleen Brightshue of Charleroi, Marilyn and Frank Gaydosh of Johnstown, Audrey and David Kent of Pulaski, and Eugenia Adams of Covington, Ga.; five grandchildren, Kattie, Kaylee, Ariel, Ben and Daisy; and the numerous relatives of the Pistachio family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Brown and an infant; and a brother-in-law, Harry Christy.
Calling hours are 2 to 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. Ronald Mounts of New Castle Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
