Former West Division Street resident Wanda Biedka, 80, of 4503 Chestnut Ave., Camp Hill, Pa., died the afternoon of Nov. 13, 2007, in Manor Care Nursing Home, Camp Hill.
Born March 30, 1927, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Katherine Dzion Germanski.
She was married to Walter Biedka for 32 years. He died on July 18, 1981.
Mrs. Biedka was a homemaker.
She was very involved with the bake sales at the former Madonna Church and was a master nut roll and pierogi maker her whole life.
Mrs. Biedka was a member of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.
Survivors include one daughter, Christine Book of Camp Hill; one son, Joseph Biedka of Barto, Pa.; two brothers, Stanley Germanski and Carl Germanski, both of New Castle; four sisters, Mary Leckwart of Las Vegas, Virginia Greenlaw of Middlesex, N.J., and Rose Przybylski and Bertha Sperdute, both of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Emily Biedka and Erin Biedka, both of Barto, Pa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Sophie Bok, Stella Martello, Frannie Maricone and Helen Stram; and two brothers, Louis Germanski and Lloyd “Sonny” Germanski.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Church. The Rev. James Downs of Christ the King Parish, Bessemer, will officiate. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery, alongside her husband, Walter.
Arrangements are by the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Mill St.
