All good things must come to an end, and so it is with Back to the '50s.
The popular car cruise and concert venue that has been a mainstay as a New Castle summer attraction for 31 years, traditionally at Cascade Park, is calling it quits, according to information posted Monday on the event's Facebook page.
Chuck Lombardo and his daughter, Tamra Marshall, organizers of the classic car and nostalgia event, wrote that Back to the 50's Weekend has decided to retire.
"This has been a long and thoughtful deliberation, after more than 31 years with Back to the 50's Weekend. It is with great sadness that we make this our final post," they wrote.
"We would like to thank everyone involved for their dedication, support and strength, in helping to make Back to the 50's Weekend a wonderful family event in New Castle, Pennsylvania, that everyone looked forward to. God Bless and thank you for a great 31 years!"
