Lockley project rejected; Gabriel to retire

NEW CASTLE — The New Castle School Board Thursday night rejected the Lockley school renovation project.

And, as a result, Superintendent George Gabriel submitted his resignation out of frustration.

A majority of the board accepted Gabriel's resignation, which is effective Jan. 31.
