Schools planning class reunions

NEW CASTLE — NESHANNOCK

Neshannock High School’s class of 1973 — along with the classes of 1972 and 1974 — will have a reunion Oct. 5

Festivities begin at 7 p.m. at The Crane Room.

The price is $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door. There will be a cash bar.

NEW CASTLE

New Castle High School’s class of 1988 will mark its 25th anniversary with a reunion Nov. 30.

The gathering is set for 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 30 at Gallo’s Italian Villa. The cost is $30 per person.

Reservations with payments can be sent to Sandi Daytner at 435 Fairgreen Ave., New Castle, Pa. 16105.

Serving on the committee with Daytner are Lisa Ryan Sands, Luann Mastrangelo Cade and Beth Seery.

NESHANNOCK

Members of Neshannock’s classes of 1988, 1989 and 1990 will have a joint reunion Nov. 29.

The gathering will be 7 to 10 p.m. at the New Englander Banquet Center. Features include food, a disc jockey and a photo booth.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
