Neshannock contributes to banquet, rings
The Neshannock school district will contribute toward championship rings for the softball team. Ross Fischer of the Softball Boosters Club asked the district to contribute $2,000 so the team members can have a banquet and purchase rings. He said 21 rings are needed and the cost will be about $4,800.

Lancers' sports programs rule in 2013
The year 2013 has been very kind to the Neshannock School District. The Lancers claimed a WPIAL championship in softball and a handful of section titles in other sports, while other squads earned the right to participate in the playoffs as well.

In her first meeting as president, Karen Houk established procedures for the Neshannock Township School Board. This chain of command, Houk said, will ensure that everyone in the district is treated equally.
Neshannock proposes budget with no tax hike
The Neshannock Township supervisors introduced a budget with no tax increase or sewer rate hike. The document, introduced Friday, will be on display at the municipal building for 20 days. The supervisors plan to vote on the spending plan at a special meeting set for 9 a.m. Dec. 30.
Neshannock superintendent Dr. Mary Todora to retire
Dr. Mary Todora, Neshannock’s superintendent, will retire at the end of this school year. The board voted 6-3 Thursday night to accept Todora’s resignation, effective June 30.
PIAA Volleyball: Neshannock girls falls to Cochranton
The Neshannock volleyball team was feeling the love last night. The Lady Lancers received a standing ovation from their friends and family as they walked off the floor following a 25-9, 25-8, 25-20 loss to Cochranton in the opening round of the PIAA Class A volleyball playoffs at Meadville High.
WPIAL Playoffs: Neshannock to take on Monessen
The Neshannock High football team is in for a case of déjà vu. The Lancers will meet Monessen for the second-straight year in the WPIAL Class A quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Chartiers-Houston.
