Car strikes Neshannock school bus

NEW CASTLE — A New Castle woman will be cited for failing to stop in time to avoid striking a stopped school bus.

Neshannock police said Mary Clause struck the Neshannock bus, which had stopped in the 1800 block of Pulaski Road about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

No injuries were reported. Clause’s daughter was a passenger in her car and approximately two dozen children of various ages were on the bus.

The students waited inside the bus for another one to arrive. Several parents went to the scene and took their children home. The remaining children boarded a second bus.

One boy on the bus said he heard a large “boom” and another student said the experience was “scary.”

Firefighters worked to free the front end of the car from under the bus. The bus sustained minimal damage, police said. Normal traffic resumed at 4:35 p.m.

Do you talk to yourself when you're alone?

Yes, but I’m basically just thinking out loud.
No, that would be weird.
I don’t know. Next time I’m alone, I’ll ask.
