NEW CASTLE — An Enon Valley man has confessed to setting a barn on fire three times, Pennsylvania State Police charged.

Yesterday, District Judge Jerry G. Cartwright arraigned Seth Krall, 29, on five felony counts of arson; two felony counts of criminal attempt to commit arson; and three summary counts of criminal mischief.

Krall targeted the same Enon Valley barn three times in May, police said. The fires were discovered quickly and extinguished without major damage done to the building.

Police interviewed Krall on May 23 and reportedly confessed that he was responsible for the fires.

Charges against Krall were filed Monday.

Trooper David R. Jungling Jr., state fire marshal, conducted the investigation.

Krall was released on $25,000 unsecured bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
