Man robbed of belongings during ride

NEW CASTLE — A man reported to police that he gave a ride to a woman who robbed him.

The man said he picked up the woman from lot behind the Cascade Galleria around 8:30 p.m. Friday when she asked him for a ride to a Jefferson Street bar.

While she was in his car she told him she was a cop and told him to give her all of his things or he would be arrested. He said she took $60, a cell phone and a bank card from his car and put them into her purse, then asked him for a ride to McGrath Manor.

He said he drove her there and dropped her off outside. He said he did not try to get his belongings back because he was afraid she had a weapon, even though she did not threaten him or say she had any weapon.
