Professor to lead excursion to Italy

NEW CASTLE — A New Castle resident and retired college professor will be leading a summer trip to Italy.

Dr. Frank Treccase, professor emeritus of Italian and Spanish at Slippery Rock University, will be the tour guide for “Tuscany and Beyond.”

This close encounter with art and history will leave the United States July 25 and depart for home Aug. 4.

The cities included on the tour are Rome, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Citta Di Castello, Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo and Assisi.

Round-trip airfare from Pittsburgh, accommodations in three- and four-star hotels with air conditioning, buffet breakfast and served dinner daily, all transfers and intercity transportation, comprehensive sightseeing tours led by professional guides, and the full-time service of the tour director are included in the price of $3,590.
