NEW CASTLE —
The annual Veterans Day parade is Saturday in downtown New Castle.
Hosted by the Lawrence County Veterans Council, the parade will start forming at 10 a.m. on the Columbus Innerbelt behind the Cascade Galleria. Zambelli Fireworks Internationale will provide the salute to start the parade, scheduled for 11 a.m.
The parade will have eight divisions. Division one will form on the right side of the innerbelt, next to the fire station. It will be followed by divisions three, five and seven. Division two will form on the left side of the innerbelt, followed by divisions four, six and eight.
There will be an information station in the parking lot near Beer 4 Less.
The parade will cross Jefferson Street on Croton Avenue and continue to East Washington Street. At East Washington, it will make a left and continue through downtown to the right of Kennedy Square, past the reviewing stand at Rite Aid and back to the innerbelt.
Parade marshal will be Chuck Harvey, Veterans Council commander. Parade grand marshal will be Rose Mary Sabo Brown.
