BUTLER — A suspended English teacher has been charged with sending inappropriate text messages to two high school students, including a picture of a female exposing her breasts.
Christine Martin, 33, of Cranberry Township was arraigned yesterday on corruption of minors and other charges.
School Superintendent Ed Fink says school officials have been aware of the allegations since November, when Martin was suspended without pay from Butler High School.
Martin’s attorney, Bernard Tully, says there’s no indication Martin had any inappropriate physical conduct with either student, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl. But he wouldn’t comment on the charges.
Martin faces a preliminary hearing June 25.
