Seven Lawrence County Housing Authority properties will receive $1.6 million in renovations, thanks to federal stimulus dollars.
Executive director Gene DiGennaro told board members yesterday how the funding will be allocated. The authority will install new windows, siding, handrails, floors, sidewalks and storm doors.
The properties have been targeted for specific work.
The funds must be spent by March 2010 and work finished by March 2012.
The board also elected new officers as it reorganized. William Betz remains president. Attorney Thomas Bashara was elected vice president.
They were selected in 3-0 votes. Board member Ernestine Wise also attended.
Michael Mancuso and attorny Lee Ann Fulena were not present.
