Recovered Jeep contains suspected cocaine


A Jeep Grand Cherokee reported stolen Wednesday was recovered later with $200 worth of suspected crack cocaine inside.

State police said Robert Edie of 183 Heckathorne Road reported that a family member took his SUV without permission at 2 a.m. Wednesday, but then lent it to someone who failed to return it.

The Jeep was recovered at 12:30 p.m. in the Grant Street housing project, with the keys in the ignition.

Police searched the vehicle and found four individually wrapped rocks of suspected crack cocaine that have an estimated value of $200.
