Ellwood City police were called to a fight in the 400 block of Loop Street about 1:45 p.m. Friday. They were advised that the caller had been heard gunshots in the Walnut Ridge area.
Police found a 25-year-old man who told police he had been shot at but not hit.
The victim told police that as he drove past 404 Loop St. in the public housing neighborhood he was approached by three men. Police said the victim told them one of the men, Hunter, had been harassing him. Police said the victim told them that Seals, who was with Hunter, approached him with a set of brass knuckles.
Police were told Misner allegedly approached the victim and stated he was going to shoot him.
The victim told police Misner had grabbed him by the shirt and attempted to punch him in the head. He told police he was able to get away but saw Misner pull out a handgun and point it at him.
Police said the victim told them he retreated to his car but Misner walked up to the passenger side and shot one round into the vehicle. He told police the bullet was lodged in the drivers side door. Police said the bullet struck the steering column and lodged in the drivers side door.
A witness told police that as he talked to the victim, in the 400 block of Loop Street, three men approached and tried to assault him. The witness said he tried to break up the fight. He told police the victim tried to get into his car and leave but one of the three allegedly fired a shot into the car.
Police said they apprehended Hunter and Seals at 404 Loop St. but Misner fled.
He was apprehended about 12:45 a.m. Saturday by Aliquippa police and returned to Lawrence County.
Ellwood City police worked with Lawrence County Juvenile Probation staffers who helped them to determine Misners whereabouts and contact other police departments.
