Jameson Hospital’s new emergency department has been enhanced with the addition of two new systems.
The first RADREX-i wireless digital radiographic X-ray system and an Aquilion Premium CT system from Toshiba America Medical Systems are now available to improve patient care, safety and workflow in the high-volume emergency room.
The new department opened March 25 and increased its size from 6,500 sq. ft. to 22,500 sq. ft. The RADREX-i and CT suites comprise the medical imaging center located in the ER.
“We went 100 percent wireless at our new facility and RADREX-i Wireless provides us with a digital, durable and efficient system,” said Jane Beight, director of diagnostic services. “For example, RexView allows our technologists to review images bedside, keeping them closer to ED patients who are often anxious or in pain.”
The wireless system provides versatile imaging, is lightweight and cableless.
Aquilion Premium’s technology significantly lowers dose for safer procedures.
“Toshiba has partnered with Jameson to provide a multi-modality solution that improves patient care,” said Nancy Gillen, vice president of marketing for Toshiba.
