State police made no DUI arests at a weekend sobriety checkpoint.
However, they did issue eight traffic citations and 10 written warnings.
The checkpoint, held in conjunction with Neshannock Township police, took place from 11 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday on Mitchell Road. It involved 83 motorists.
The checkpoint was part of the Gov. Ed Rendell’s initiative to reduce DUI crashes, prevent injuries and save lives.
