An Edinburg woman who pleaded guilty to three robberies has been sentenced to state prison.
Betty Jo Butera, 41, of 4850 W. Main St., was sentenced yesterday to 5 to 10 years in Muncy State Correctional Institution on each of the three robberies.
Lawrence County Common Pleas President Judge Dominick Motto ordered that the sentences be served concurrently and that Butera provide a DNA sample.
She also was required to pay costs of prosecution and make restitution totaling $2,343. She was given credit for 229 days already served in jail.
Butera, represented by attorney Jean Perkins of the public defender�s office, pleaded guilty on Oct. 14 to robberies of First Merit Bank in Union Township on Jan. 10, to the Tic Toc in Mount Jackson on Jan. 1 and to a robbery on Nov. 29. No information was available on that robbery.
