Car overturns in New Beaver

A silver Kia overturned on Possum Hollow Road in New Beaver Borough about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The female driver, whose name was not known at the time of the accident, was not seriously injured, said Rick Plassmeyer, captain of the New Beaver Borough Volunteer Fire Department.

Plassmeyer said the road had recently been tarred and chipped, and the driver may have slid on the pavement.

The Wampum Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Workers gained access to the victim by cutting through the windshield.
