An Ohio teen sustained minor injuries in a two-car crash Saturday evening in Mahoning Township.
Police said Nicholas Giancola, 17, of Lowellville, Ohio, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown after his 1999 Pontiac Grand Am was struck by a 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan operated by Rosemary Paulich, 57, of Poland, Ohio about 6 p.m.
According to police, Paulich was southbound on Harbor-Edinburg Road. She pulled from the stop sign at Skyhill Road and struck the driver’s side of Giancola’s car, which was eastbound on Skyhill.
Paulich was not injured.
The two cars slid eastward, striking a traffic sign and splintering the base of a utility pole in the rear parking lot of Tony’s Lounge.
Paulich was able to drive her car from the scene. Giancola’s vehicle was towed.
