The 2010 tax bills for New Beaver Borough are incorrect.
According to tax collector Margaret Wise, the total due and payable amounts printed on the bills are incorrect.
She is advising borough residents to pay the totals listed after municipal real estate, which is located on the top of the box, not the figures listed after totals due and payable.
Anyone who is not sure about his or her taxes, or who has any questions, may call Wise at her office — (724) 535-0839 — for the exact amount that is due.
Wise also said she wants residents to be aware that if their taxes are escrowed, it is their responsibility to forward them to the bank.
School tax bills should be in the mail next week. The discount period will be August and September and the face value period will be October and November.
