Union OKs personnel moves

New Castle News

The Union School Board approved personnel moves this week.

Kirsten Mauro is the new business, computer, information and technology librarian. When she was hired at Wednesday’s special meeting, her salary was set at $38,600 for the 2008-09 school year.

Dr. Richard Liedke, medical director of Jameson Work Health, was hired as the district’s physician. He will give school physicals for $15 per student. The vote was 7-0-2, with Joy Carlin and Kathi Duncan abstaining because they work for Jameson Health System.

The board also accepted the resignations of Nicole Caravella as the middle school dance team adviser and Danielle Kennedy as assistant junior high cheerleading adviser.

Maternity leave was approved for kindergarten teacher Andrea Krarup, elementary teacher Roberta Minenok and middle school teacher Kristie Ross.
