An Ellwood City couple has been charged after they were seen “furniture shopping” at a neighbor’s house.

Police said Rocky Grim Sr., 49, and Denise Bradley, 50, both of 432 Loop St., were charged with burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and theft. Both were arraigned before District Judge Jerry Cartwright and lodged in the Lawrence County jail on $25,000 bond each.

Police said the two were seen hauling a stove out of 438 Loop St. at 7 p.m. July 12 and loading it into the back of a van.

Police stopped the van and took the two into custody. The van, which also contained a dresser and other household items, also was seized. Police said they later determined that other items in the van also had been removed from the Loop Street location and being stored at 432 Loop St.

Police said the victim, viewing items in the van and at Grim’s and Bradley’s apartment, identified several items that had been taken from her residence.
